Anti-Allergen Complete Seal Technology®

Shark Rotator Lift-Away captures and holds over 99.9% of dust and allergens** inside the vacuum, not back into the air you breathe.

It’s time to clear the air about this dirty little secret. The truth is, if your vacuum does not have a system that is completely sealed, then the dust and allergens you vacuum up escape back into the air before they even reach the HEPA filter.

  • The variable suction allows you to release some suction to optimize cleaning on certain surfaces. This should be used for cleaning certain high pile carpets and area rugs, rugs with fringe, or when cleaning delicate fabrics such as curtains with your accessories.

  • What is Anti-Allergen Complete Seal Technology™?

If your vacuum is an unsealed HEPA vacuum, dirt and allergens that you vacuum up can escape back into the air that you breathe before they even reach the HEPA filter. With Shark’s Anti-Allergen Complete Seal Technology incorporated with the HEPA filter, the vacuum captures and holds over 99.9%** of dust and allergens inside the vacuum, so that it is not released back into the air you breathe.

  • What are the dimensions and weight of the vacuum?

    45.7" high x 13.4" wide x 12.2" deep

    Only 7kgs - full upright

  • What is the vacuum made of?

The Shark Rotator Professional Lift-Away is produced with a combination of durable ABS and PP plastics, along with some metal and rubber components.

  • Where is the product manufactured?

The Shark Rotator Professional Lift-Away is manufactured by our high-quality vacuum manufacturing partners in China.

  • What is maximum dirt capacity for the dust cup container?

The dust cup holds 1.3 dry quarts to the fill line and 3.1 dry quarts of real usable capacity. It has an easy, bottom-empty design for quick removal of debris, plus top empty access for removal of more stubborn debris.

  • What is variable suction and when should it be used?

Due to the tremendous suction of the Shark Rotator Professional Lift-Away vacuum, the variable suction feature has been added to allow you to release some suction to optimize cleaning on certain surfaces. This feature should be used for cleaning certain high pile carpets and area rugs, rugs with fringe, or when cleaning delicate fabrics such as curtains with your accessories. To release the suction, simply turn the collar around the handle counterclockwise to open and release just enough suction to do the task at hand while still getting your home clean. To close again for maximum suction, simply turn the collar clockwise.

  • Can I turn the headlights off?

The powerful LED headlights are designed to illuminate debris in dark spaces to make cleaning more efficient. The headlights will go on and stay on whenever the power is on. The headlights are long-lasting and designed to last the life of the vacuum so they never need replacing.

  • How do I remove and empty the dust cup?

Pinch the dust cup release latches on the rear of the dust cup handle and lift the dust cup up and away from the vacuum body. Note: The dust cup should be emptied each time you vacuum and periodically during cleaning, when the dust cup appears full.

Hold the dust cup over the trash and press the bottom door release button on the front of the unit. Tap gently to empty contents. Press the door shut again until it clicks. If needed, turn the dust cup upside down over the trash and press the top door release button. Tap gently to remove contents or wipe clean with a soft cloth.

For optimal performance, empty the dust cup when the dirt reaches the MAX FILL line.

  • How often should I wash the filters?

For optimal performance, it is recommended to clean filters regularly. Between washings, your filter can be tapped clean to remove any excess dust and other particles into the trash.

    • Pre-Motor Foam Filter: Under normal usage, rinse and let air dry completely (for 24 hours) every 3 months.
    • Pre-Motor Felt Filter: Under normal usage rinse and let air dry completely (for 24 hours) every 3 months.
    • Post-Motor HEPA filter: Under normal usage, rinse and air dry once every 12 months or as needed.
  • How do I check for blockages?

    1. Remove and inspect all hoses and tubes to make sure there are no obstructions.
    2. Check the air duct behind the dust cup.
    3. Check the floor nozzle to make sure there are no blockages in the air path or that there is not excess hair or fibers around the brushroll.
    4. Remove the hose cuff at the base of the pod and check to make sure it is clear of all obstructions.
  • What happens if I experience small static shocks while vacuuming?

Common static electricity can build up on vacuum cleaners during vacuuming. Dry weather conditions and vacuuming fine particles can increase the amount of static electricity build-up.

Shark vacuum handles are specially designed to help avoid static build-up when gripped fully by the user’s hand during vacuuming.  If your hand is not gripped around the handle, static may build up, then users can receive small static shocks from the handle, similar to what you might experience from door knobs and faucets.  This is harmless.  In order to avoid this, keep hand gripped around the handle, avoid wearing socks or slippers, keep dry hands moisturised during vacuuming.
